Founded in early 2011 by Laurence Gillian and David Z Obadiah, VooDooBytes builds and expands on the creativity and success of VooDooDog Animation. We’ve hit the ground running and unleashed work for a series of satisfied clients.

A bit unconventional, a bit of a blagger, a whole lot of creative talent.
Laurence studied music composition whilst running a ‘media’ company aged 18. Hated the use of the word ‘entrepreneur’, especially when combined with ‘young’. A serendipitous meeting in a phone box and a passion for music led to him redesigning the Glastonbury Festival’s website in 2009.
Realised writing music for other people wasn’t so much fun. Moved to London. Met David and VooDooDog. Developed and launched the Axe the Beer Tax campaign. Started working with different agencies in London, from small startups to large multinationals. Some of the small startups had some great ideas but no budget, while the large agencies had great budgets but little idea what to do with them.
Got bored of seeing ideas being allowed to slip away in spirals of banal bureaucracy. Learnt a lot, especially about how not to do things. Decided it was time to start doing business a little differently. Combined forces with VooDooDog and developed the concept for a new type of digital agency. Where the right budgets and smart thinking are combined to create results.
VoodooBytes continues to grow, as does the list of brands Laurence has helped to build.

VooDooBytes is based in Brownlow Mews, WC1N 2LA. Our studio is just a short walk from Farringdon, King’s Cross and Russell Square tube stations. We’re surrounded by great pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. It’s a great place to meet, eat and talk business.
